Partner with OCM Life

OCM Life is an independent Canadian personal finance publication. If you offer a product Canadians genuinely benefit from, here's how we work with partners — and the one rule we don't bend.

Who we are, and who we reach

OCM Life explains money to Canadians in plain language — RRSPs, TFSAs, FHSAs, mortgages, credit cards, savings, and the rest of what's specific to earning and living here. We're an independent publisher, not a bank and not anyone's sales channel, writing for people actively making real decisions: where to bank, which card to carry, how to start investing, what to do with the next $500.

We build a first-party, permission-based audience segmented by financial intent rather than chasing broad, undifferentiated reach. The value here isn't raw impressions — it's reaching engaged Canadians by topic and intent, at the moment they're weighing a real decision.

Why work with a neutral publisher

Because we don't belong to any institution, we can cover competing products on the merits — and our readers know it. That independence is the whole reason a recommendation here means something. Editorial trust converts in a way a banner never will: when a publication that's willing to say “skip this one” tells a reader a product is worth it, they believe it.

The verdict is never for sale.

That isn't a slogan — it's the deal. A commission never buys coverage, placement, or a verdict, and we disclose every material relationship clearly, in line with Canada's Competition Act. For partners with a genuinely good product, that's a feature: your offer is judged on its merits and recommended with credibility. For everyone else, it's a filter.

Ways to work together

What we cover, and who we work with

Our coverage spans everyday banking, high-interest savings and GICs, credit cards, investing and brokerages, mortgages, and regulated crypto platforms. We work only with legitimate, properly licensed providers — for example, CIRO-registered platforms in crypto — and we don't promote debt-settlement schemes or products that prey on people in difficulty. Education comes first; where readers are genuinely in distress, we point them toward non-profit and licensed help, not a paid offer.

Everything we publish is general information and education, not advice. Our email program is permission-based and CASL-compliant, and we don't use dark patterns. Partnering with us is low-risk to your brand by design.
